It's a wrap!

As part of our annual tradition, we post our key highlights for the year. We stay true to our company culture of transparency.

2025

2025: What a year for our micro-SME family business Coffeexmead. We are the startup manufacturer behind La Mesa Mead and Coffeexmead. Thanks to the support of Quezon City SBCDPO and our loyal customers, we have grown bigger this year. 🐝🍯
Here are our milestones:
1. Sales grew by 73% year-on-year. More than 60% of our sales are from new & premium products La Mesa Mead Vida & La Mesa Mead Tagumpay. We wouldn’t have been confident enough to make these 2 new products without the encouragement from all of you!
2. We joined 13 pop-up events (down from 18 last year) & was included in this year’s MaArte Fair of the Museum Foundation of the Philippines! We are so happy to have also contributed to the fundraising for the arts in the Philippines.
3. Got our first organic press releases thanks to MaArte Fair. Big thanks to ABS-CBN Lifestyle as well for the rave!
4. We received our FDA License to Operate as a manufacturer. Our paperwork from SEC to QC Permit also now proudly reflects our business change as coffee shop to manufacturer.
5. We grew our restaurant clients from 1 to 4 (with 1 Michelin recognized restaurant).
6. We ordered almost 700 kilos of honey from local beekeepers in QC, Caloocan, and Naga. Support local beekeepers! This is lower than previous year due to decrease in manufacturing rejects and increase of our own honey output.
7. We are still able to maintain 14 colonies in our 2 bee farms in QC and Pundaquit, Zambales even with the challenging weather conditions.
8. We provided small projects to small-time contractors and carpenters for our bee farm and carpentry needs. Big thanks to those who availed of the wooden gift boxes!
9. We provided part-time opportunity to 3 working students even with the increase in minimum wage. They also receive incentives for sales during our pop-up events!
10. We have planted over 350 seedlings this 2025 in Pundaquit, Zambales and Greater Lagro, QC. We’ve planted thousands ever since! More trees mean more nectar and pollen source for our bees! Save the bees! Save our rainforests! 🌳
11. Our net income loss % is now just 5% to revenue, way lower than 2024 at 32% and 74% last 2023.
12. We received our grant from the Micro, Small Enterprises, and Cooperatives (MSEC) Scale Up program of QC Small Business and Cooperatives Development Promotions Office along with 10 other entrepreneurs from Quezon City.

  • We bought 800 kilos of honey from local beekeepers just this year, on top of our own honey harvest
  • We hosted the first International Mead Day Celebration in the Philippines
  • We provided part time work to more than 4 working students
  • We were part of the inaugural QCertified Program of the Quezon City LGU SBCDPO in partnership with DOST, DTI, PUP Manila, and FDA
  • We were featured in the first POP QC Tatak Kyusi Coffee table book for 2024
